“Buckle is incomparable to any other artist, with her originality shining like the North Star.”
Recently voted “Best new artist”in Prog Mag, Ebony Buckle is a London-based conceptual pop artist and producer, originally from Townsville, Australia. She writes and performs with her husband - musician and producer Nick Burns. With her music Ebony holds a mirror to herself and the world, reflecting the human want and struggle to fit in or break out.
Ebony’s debut album Disco Lasers came out in 2021, receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Earmilk and Atwood Magazine, who challenged their readers: “I defy you to name another album as colourful and imaginative as Ebony Buckle’s Disco Lasers''. The album is a collection of audio-visual stories inspired by folk tales and the crossroads between fiction and science, told through Buckle’s soaring vocals & imaginative songwriting.
Her second album Hearts Get Started was released in October 2024. The songs provide an insight into Buckle’s musical exploration of pop, rock and folk over the past 4 years. Filled with old favourites and new explorations, this prequel to Disco Lasers invite the listener to follow Ebony on her journey of how she first found her voice, and where it’s taken her since.
Ebony’s unique voice was first recognised in the BBC’s drama Inspector George Gently, where she performed a version of Silver Dagger which reached number 1 in the iTunes World Music Charts.
Performing her original music across the UK, Europe & Australia, Ebony has been sharing the stage with legendary acts like Solstice, Lifesigns, Focus and Ren Harvieu. In 2025 she toured the Netherlands supporting Anneke Van Giersbergen on her Dutch Club Tour. In June she headlined Soundle Fest and in August performed to a sold out crowd at The Stables in Milton Keynes.
Ebony celebrated the end of 2025 with a sold out performance at the beautiful Theatreship in Canary Wharf.
In April 2026, she will be returning to The Netherlands and Germany for a mini tour with her band. She is also booked to play Wokingham Festival, a headline show in Oundle and Pulterkammer Festival in Norway.
Ebony is currently collaborating with Queer London Collective and Ballet Folk to create a live performance around her third album, due to be released next year.
